Update Mmi — Audi A6 C7

Second test: Bluetooth. His iPhone connected in 3 seconds. Music played without stuttering.

The screen folded down, then rose again—faster than before. The Audi logo appeared, then the familiar main menu. But something was different. The graphics were slightly sharper. The cursor moved smoother. Mark turned off the ignition, waited 2 minutes (to let all CAN bus systems sleep), then restarted the car. update mmi audi a6 c7

At last: “Update successful. System will restart.” Second test: Bluetooth

First test: Navigation. He entered an address. The route calculated in 4 seconds instead of the usual 12. Map scrolling was buttery. The screen folded down, then rose again—faster than before

Third test: Voice control. “Navigate to nearest gas station.” For the first time, it understood him on the first try.

But there was one issue: The ambient lighting settings were reset, and the digital speed in the instrument cluster had changed from km/h to mph. Mark used his VCDS to recode module 5F (MMI) and 17 (Instrument cluster) back to his preferences.

Every time he started the car, the MMI screen would take an extra 10 seconds to rise from the dashboard. Sometimes, the navigation would freeze mid-route. Bluetooth audio stuttered when his phone connected. And the dreaded message appeared twice in one month: “MMI System error. Please contact dealer.”
