Roz succeeds because she abandons the logic of the corporation (vertical control, optimization, standardization) and adopts the logic of the forest (horizontal cooperation, adaptation, redundancy). The film is a quiet critique of techno-solutionism. You cannot engineer your way out of loneliness. You can only relate your way into it.
