We rejoin Thorin Oakenshield and his company of dwarves—along with a deeply reluctant Bilbo Baggins—as they flee the Misty Mountains. They have no ponies, little food, and a pack of skin-changers on their trail. But the extended cut lingers here, in the muddy despair.
