I recently got my hands on the and Exynos 8890 reference boards. Here is what you need to know before moving beyond the world of hobbyist ARM chips. What exactly is it? Unlike a consumer Pi, these boards are Reference Designs . Samsung doesn’t sell these at Best Buy; they sell them to OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) building smart fridges, in-dash car infotainment systems, and arcade machines.

Look for used "Samsung Artik" modules on eBay. They are the older, IoT-focused Exynos chips with slightly better documentation for the tinkerer.
