Directed by Navdeep Singh, Manorama Six Feet Under (2007) is a neo-noir set in the arid landscape of Rajasthan. Loosely inspired by Roman Polanski’s Chinatown , the film transplants the classic detective narrative into contemporary Indian politics and water scarcity.
