Even without DLC, Three Houses is a 100+ hour epic. It’s part Harry Potter’s house system, part Game of Thrones political drama, and pure tactical chess. Choosing one of three houses (Black Eagles, Blue Lions, or Golden Deer) locks you into a morally grey narrative where no side is purely evil. The monastery sections (social sim/teaching) break up the battles beautifully, though they can drag on repeated playthroughs.
★★★★★ (5/5) – Essential for SRPG fans FIRE EMBLEM- Three Houses Switch NSP UPDATE DLC
The update patches (up to v1.2.0) fix frame rate dips in the monastery and add the "Journal" feature, which lets you skip the tedious first half of the game on subsequent runs. Maddening difficulty is truly brutal but fair. The four new playable Anna (meh) and Jeritza (excellent) add modest value. Even without DLC, Three Houses is a 100+ hour epic
