"Divergent" is a 2014 American dystopian science fiction film directed by Neil Burger and based on the novel of the same name by Veronica Roth. The movie is set in a post-apocalyptic Chicago and follows the story of Tris Prior (played by Shailene Woodley), a young woman who discovers she's Divergent, meaning she doesn't fit into the society's rigid faction system.
