He typed a new text box: "Who is this?"

The download finished. He ran the installer. The old, familiar wizard popped up—a chunky 2010s interface with a picture of a smiling woman pointing at a board. It installed without a hitch. He typed in the key: STAY-OFF-THE-CLOUD-2020. It worked.

Liam’s heart pounded as he stared at the flickering blue screen. "File corrupted. License key invalid," the error message read. It was 11:58 PM. His lesson plan for the next day—a masterpiece of layered drag-and-drop activities, hidden reveal squares, and a fully annotated periodic table—was trapped inside a dead software.
