When I looked at the page later, it just said:

We finally cracked it open on a Tuesday.

“You are watching AAJ-012. Do not attempt to memorize the symbols following the dash. Your short-term buffer will corrupt. This is not a threat. It is a property of the information.” Below it, in different handwriting not my own:

The footage began.

But late at night, in the hum of the archive’s climate control, I sometimes hear it whispering the sequence back to me — not as letters, but as frequencies. And I think about the first two archivists. And where they really went. Neither would explain why

No one at the station remembered what the letters stood for. Some said it was a pre-Fall military inventory tag. Others whispered it was a designation for something that had never been meant to exist at all.
